This interview details Looije Agro Technics, a company based in the Netherlands. The interview is with Tom van Zundert, Co-owner of Looije Agro Technics.
Since 1997, Looije Agro Technics has been assisting horticulturists with everything involved in their business, from the very first idea “I want to build a greenhouse” up to the moment the horticulturist is actually cultivating. The greenhouse farming industry has seen enormous development these past few years.
Being an independent, specialized agency for greenhouse farming, Looije Agro Technics has kept pace with these developments. For any possible question, the proper specialized knowledge is available within the company and immediately deployable.
In addition to the target group “horticulture companies with plans for new development or remodeling” there are also other organizations or government institutes that use the independent greenhouse farming and horticulture expertise of Looije Agro Technics.
Technology in horticultural greenhouses is increasing. Not only because we have to optimize according to output, we have to minimize according to water consumption, and pesticide consumption.
An increasing part of the world population wants to have access to fresh vegetables, fruit, and ornamental plant products grown in a greenhouse all year round. As a result, we are building more and more greenhouses in extreme climates. This requires a lot of knowledge and experience and puts pressure on our organization because there are many opportunities with projects away from home.
Looje Agro Technics is objective and independent. These are core values for us. This alone makes it possible to have been active in the consultancy industry for more than 25 years.
Every colleague has a basis but also a specialization. Due to the size of our company, we have several people in all disciplines who can replace each other, strengthen each other, and spar with each other. Only in this way can optimally relieve every client's worries.
Our team consists of 25 specialists with knowledge in the fields of finance, architecture, engineering, construction management, surveying, energy, and business management.
Like every year, we focus on a nice mix of domestic and foreign projects. These will involve the necessary new construction projects, but also duplication in the field of LED lighting, heat pumps, hydrogen, e-boilers, and PV panels.
Our work with our relationships is based on trust. There must be a click between us and our client. People with construction plans, renovation plans, or sustainability plans can contact us without obligation to get acquainted.
