What is the origin story of Ivvest?
We started back in 2019 with a small open-field agricultural project in Jordan valley. The project was faced by a heat wave, followed by a cold wave, followed by many mistakes by the farmer and ended with huge failure due to lockdown and our inability to reach the farm location.
This ignited the search for a solution to control the risk, a solution that is accessible, reliable, more efficient, more sustainable and more profitable. A solution that fits our region's environment and that is local market driven. And since none existed, we started Ivvest to become the solution creator!
What are some of the biggest challenges facing Ivvest in the future?
Awareness about indoor farming technologies and continuous efficiency increment is our main challenge and focus. For us operational excellence is what we mostly consider our advantage and what we believe the local market looks for. Therefore, solutions to enhance electricity and water consumption will be continuously developed and enhanced.

How do you measure the impact of your company so far? (Revenue, Employees, Customer Quantity, Production Volume) etc?
We measure our impact through the number of new agricultural entrepreneurs we enabled to start their ventures, through the amount of pesticide free food production and through waste reduced.

What have you learned that you wish you knew when you started the company?
We are learning something new on a daily basis in this industry and we are proud about our failures as much as we are about our successes. The most important learning might be that with new disruptive technologies, new customer segments/operators are created.
