What is the origin story of the Heartee Foods brand?

Heartee Foods is an evolution of Forage Hyperfoods (www.foragehyperfoods.com), an all Canadian mushroom wellness company started by Chanel and Jonathan Murray. As Forage began to see traction, Jonathan met his Heartee Foods co-founder Rob Imbeault who was impressed with the team but encouraged Jonathan to think big and look at bigger challenges to solve. Together, after a deep evaluation of the CEA industry, they determined that being a part of advancing access to sustainable food was how they could make an impact. Heartee Foods was born.

What are some of the biggest challenges facing Heartee Foods in the future?

Recession fears in Canada may augment consumption for food service and premium produce. Heartee will be further expanding their presence across the USA in 2024.

What is unique about Heartee Foods compared to competitors?

Anyone growing food is part of the solution, so other growers are not competitors to Heartee Foods. Heartee is competing with processed foods, fast and filling solutions to hunger. We believe that fresh, nutrient dense food is the start of a healthy life and a healthy planet. We encourage everyone to find local fresh food and incorporate it into their diet.
