This interview details Gillespie Manners, a company based in the UK. The interview is with Zanaba Poland, Marketing Manager of Gillespie Manners.
Gillespie Manners was founded in 2004, at a time where the mid-market recruitment industry was a proverbial wild-west landscape. It was our Co-Founders, Andrew Manners and Alex Gillespie’s disillusionment with “Pile it high, sell it cheap, low-grade attitude” taken by the industry which led the pair to disrupt the norms and found a professional, consultative agency with customer and candidate satisfaction at its heart.
The new disruptive new approach taken by Gillespie Manners was refreshing for clients and candidates alike. Our founders created a process-based, methodological framework to ensure the success of the mission-critical hiring projects for which our Executive Search firm was enlisted by clients.
At Gillespie Manners our constant mission is to champion talent at the cutting edge of technology. We operate within a rapidly evolving industry which has undergone countless transformations over the last two decades. We keep our finger on the pulse of the latest innovations, which is what led us to launch our climate technology and sustainability specialist practice in 2023. We recognized that the global drive towards net zero marked a shift in the technology market, and we helped numerous members of our senior, passive talent network to move from traditional technology verticals into the vibrant new sustainability technology space.
As we navigate a period of significant growth, the biggest challenges ahead of us relate to the operational and strategic shifts required to move from a medium sizes business to a medium-large sized business. Our priority is to invest heavily into the professional development of our leadership and middle management layers, to ensure our senior team is equipped to lead the business through the next phase of our growth and begin nurturing the next generation of managers within our business. Our HR Director is in the process of implementing an accredited leadership development program which will enable us to move into our next phase of growth.
What sets us apart from our competitors in the talent acquisition space is our commitment to client and customer experience. Its our people-first ethos that inspired the creation of our unique headhunting methodology. Our process-based, methodological approach to senior talent acquisition is a truly distinctive feature of our service offering. It ensures that no matter how niche or specialist a role may be, results are guaranteed for our clients. Our methodology enables us to operate with the same exceptional results across all specialist markets we work within.
Our rapid growth in the sustainability technology sector has been the result of our proven, methodological approach. The shortage of highly skilled leaders in the agriculture technology sector alone demonstrates a need for talent acquisition that doesn’t rely upon inbound applications but instead necessitates a targeted search approach. We’ve placed VPs of Farm Operations, Plant Scientists and C-Suite Executives with extremely niche requirements to help drive the growth of businesses at the cutting edge of the sustainability sector.
In 2024 we’re continuing to support our global roster of clients with the mission-critical, senior talent acquisition assignments that will drive real growth for their businesses. We will gain deeper penetration of the sustainability technology sector and attend even more events globally in the industry.
